environmental and economic impacts of relocating
plutonium-powered battery production operations.

environmental impacts associated with construction and

- Conducted cost-benefit analyses to determine preferred site
location of plutonium-powered battery production
operations. Results assisted client in selection of site
alternative with $2MM annual savings.
- Assessed potential locations for the construction and
operation of independent natural gas combustion turbines
in Canada to generate electricity for supply to the U.S. grid.

Economic and Environmental Modeling
- Developed cost models to estimate capital and operating costs
of implementing new technologies for the pulp
and paper industry. Evaluated mill-specific and industry-wide cost
effectiveness and environmental benefits of
proposed national regulations for the industry.
- Calculated mill-specific and aggregate industry reductions in
energy consumption, air emissions, and solid
waste generation resulting from use of technologies that form
basis of pulp and paper industry regulations.
Benchmark Analysis
- Analyzed foreign pulp and paper companies to identify new
technologies that improve environmental quality
while maintaining product quality. Determined feasibility of new
technologies for use by U.S. pulp and paper
mills of comparable size with similar products.
